In 2023,Hangzhou put forward the active creation of a national logistics hub city.The Hangzhou airport-type national logistics hub is actively improving the logistics infrastructure conditions in Hangzhou,increasing management,technology,and service innovation,optimizing logistics operation processes,promoting advanced organizational models,and enhancing the level of operational integration.It plays an increasingly prominent role as the basic support and organizational core in the logistics network,providing low-cost and high-efficiency logistics conditions for industries such as production,manufacturing,and trade circulation,effectively supporting the construction of a modern logistics operation system of“channels+ hubs+ networks”and the improvement of logistics quality and efficiency and cost reduction.It effectively promotes the integration and innovation of industries and the development of hub economy,and lays a solid foundation for building a new development pattern and promoting high-quality development.

In terms of development positioning,the Hangzhou Airport-based National Logistics Hub will closely integrate with the construction of the Hangzhou National-level Air Economic Demonstration Zone and the Hangzhou Area of Zhejiang Pilot Free Trade Zone.It aims to expand international air routes to countries and regions along the“Belt and Road”initiative.It will fully leverage its basic ability to connect online and offline logistics and link production and consumption.The hub will also attract and cultivate industries that prefer hub locations,striving to become an“Asia-Pacific International Air Cargo Hub”.

In terms of highlights in the construction plan,Hangzhou,as a national logistics hub with an airport focus,is being developed by Hangzhou Airport Investment and Development Co.,Ltd.,Hangzhou Airport New Town Bonded Logistics Center,and Zhejiang Hangzhou Air Economic Development Co.,Ltd.These entities form a strategic alliance for the construction and operation of the hub,with a synergistic supply chain in the industrial chain,capable of attracting various resources and carrying out related infrastructure construction.The hub is positioned as a global smart logistics innovation hub,Asia-Pacific international air logistics hub,an organizing center for air industry supply chains,and a national logistics hub economic demonstration zone.It has excellent comprehensive transportation network conditions,complete port functions,and superior location,transportation,and industrial cluster advantages.The planned area is 2.5 square kilometers,with a focus on serving the surrounding trillion-level industrial cluster and providing logistics supply chain services for the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration.

In terms of supporting and ensuring functions,the Hangzhou hub will not only support the national regional integration strategy and promote the construction of“Digital China”,but also help strengthen the security and stability of the industrial chain supply chain.
